I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
